Hegemony or Survival: America’s quest for global dominance – Noam Chomsky
Manufacturing Consent – Noam Chomsky
Confessions of a Economic Hitman – John Perkins
The author was on Democracy Now discussing the book. In a nutshell he acted as a proxy for US multinationals in various ‘undeveloped’ countries. His job was to allow the companies access to the markets and resources of the country using military force as necessary.
